Journey 2050 encourages students to explore environmental, social and economic sustainability while managing virtual farms in 3 different countries. Students spend the day learning about different topics in sustainability through a virtual farming simulation game, scavenger hunts, discussions on careers in agriculture, and more!

This one-day program takes place in the Nutrien Western Event Centre on Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta. In-school guest speaker sessions are offered for Calgary and surrounding area.

Outdoor Learning Quickdraw is physical card deck resource for $25 + GST + Shipping. It is designed to provide activity and cross-curricular lesson ideas for classes of any age to try outside. There are activities connected to Physical Education, Wellness, Science, Outdoor Education and more, making up four suits with 13 cards each:

Physical Literacy cards suggest activities that develop agility, balance, coordination and strength skills related to locomotor and non-locomotor movements in the outdoors. There is no right way to move! These cards show and suggest many inclusive ways to encourage all students to participate, and we know that teachers and program leaders are experts in modifications and inclusive practices.

Teamwork cards feature challenges for small groups and full class activities that develop collaboration, communication and critical thinking.

Outdoor Skills cards feature key competencies for students to practice at school to prepare for single or multi-day trips into front and backcountry destinations.

Among these activities, is also our Flood:ED Simulator, an interactive tool that takes approximately 1 hour to complete and allows learners to explore flood resilience strategies in a virtual setting. Project WET Canada offers professional development certification workshops for educators, available both in-person and virtually. Our water education program features complete, engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans and activities. Guides include Foundations in Water Education, Water in Earth Systems, Projet WET Module 1 (French), Climate, Water and Resilience (Grades 6–12), and Getting Little Feet Wet (ECE). Join us for an interactive experience that will motivate students to take impactful steps towards reducing waste. The tours include a classroom workshop and a guided bus tour through the landfill.

Grades: 4 - 7
Program length: 3 hours total (90-minute landfill bus tour/ 90-minute classroom).
Class size: Up to 2 classes (30 students per class) per day.

Cost: No cost for tours, but schools must provide and arrange bus transportation.
