In this 75-minute session, students learn about bioaccumulation in aquatic ecosystems by analyzing real (sanitized) freshwater litter. Children then go on a walking field trip to see how much garbage they can divert from their local creek. The school is gifted a class set of garbage pickers, reflective vests, buckets, and weigh scale to continue this activity.
